Website Tutorial #1: Events
Filed Under News by Daniel Magnolia
Thank you for visiting the website of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Washington, DC. This is the first of several tutorials that will help introduce new features of the website so that you may get the most out of it.
Events are posted regularly to the website and may be accessed in a few different ways.

Worship Schedule:
- The Worship Schedule displays the typical schedule for the Worship Service of Holy Communion and Sunday School.
- It is located at the top of the center column of every page.
- Clicking on these links will display the main Worship Service or Sunday School information page.
- The Subscribe button above the schedule allows you to add St. Paul’s Lutheran Church to your RSS Feed Reader so you get automatic updates.

Upcoming Events:
- The Upcoming Events section lists the next 10 upcoming church events.
- It is located in the center column of every page, directly underneath the Worship Schedule section.
- When you click on one of these links, the website will display the details of that event.

Events Category:
- All events posted to the website are also listed conveniently under the Events Category.
- The Categories section is located in the center column of every page, directly underneath the Upcoming Events Section.
- Just like all Categories, if you click the Events Category, you will view all posts that are labeled as Events.
- The number next to the category indicates how many pages are in that category. In the case of Events, however, you will only view future events in date order.

Search:
- If you are looking for something specific or are uncertain where to locate some information, please use the Search Feature.
- The Search Feature is located in the third column on every page, underneath the Photos section.
- Just type in some key words and press the Return/Enter key on your keyboard to search the entire site.
Are You New to St. Paul’s?
- If you are new to the area, new to St. Paul’s, or just new to the website, we’ve collected some initial information on one page that might help answer your initial questions about us.
- Please click on the banner that says, “Are You New to St. Paul’s?” on the right hand sidebar for all this convenient information.
We hope that our new website not only improves the way you obtain information from St. Paul’s, but also improves the way you share information with St. Paul’s. Please feel free to post a comment, or use the share feature to bookmark a page or send it to a friend.
If you have a feature you would like explained in this Tutorial Series, please leave a comment. See you next time!
