New Web Site: An Early Christmas Gift

Filed Under News by Daniel Magnolia

Welcome to the all new redesigned Web site for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. This is the third, and final, stage of a long process that began around 2005 when I took over managing the site for St. Paul’s. It contains many new features, based on feedback and testing that had been going on for over a year.

Some new features worth noting are:

  1. Easy navigation using Categories and Tags
  2. Clearly positioned Worship Schedule
  3. Dynamic Upcoming Events feature lists the next 5 events automatically (use the Events category to view the rest)
  4. RSS Feeds makes getting automatic updates easy (stay tuned for an upcoming article on how to use RSS)
  5. Dynamic Photo section displays random selection from our large photo gallery
  6. Article Archive section divided by month
  7. Reader Commenting to develop our online fellowship
  8. Share This feature allows you to bookmark information or e-mail it to a friend.
  9. Search Feature
  10. Multiple Author access means easy and fast updating.

All in all, the new Web site is now a group publishing platform that allows us to deliver the most up-to-date information to you. Some features may change or new features may still be introduced as we settle in. The site is compatible with the current versions of Safari and Internet Explorer, but we highly recommend Firefox for its stability and safety features.

We welcome your questions and feedback. You may comment by clicking the comment link at the end of this post (next to the posted date) or by visiting the Contact page for leaving us a more discrete message.

Thank you for visiting and enjoy the new site!

Hanging of the Greens

Filed Under Events by Daniel Magnolia

We invite you to join us this Saturday, Dec. 1 at 10:00am in the Sanctuary to untangle lights, hang garland and trim the large Christmas tree.

Children and adults of all ages are invited to take part in this St. Paul’s tradition. It is lots of fun and a great way to kick off the Advent season.

RSVPs are helpful, but not necessary.
