Hurricane Relief for the Gulf Coast of Texas

A team of volunteers is now being formed from St. Paul’s and First Trinity Lutheran Church to provide hurricane relief for Galveston, Beaumont and Houston, Texas. We are looking to make the trip to Texas the week of January 18. The work might involve anything to everything, from clean up to rebuilding. If you are willing to help our brothers and sisters who were victimized by Hurricane Ike, or if you have questions, please contact Pastor Omholt at 202-966-5489 or tomholt@stpaulslutherandc.com.

Help the Homeless Walkathon

It’s time for the annual walkathon to support St. Paul’s Shelter. You need to register in advance here. Be sure to chose St. Paul’s Shelter — St. Paul’s English Lutheran Church as your beneficiary organization. We’ll meet in the church parking lot PROMPTLY at 8:00am and then metro down to the Mall for the walk. After the walk, we will come back up to Tenleytown for our traditional post-walk brunch at Guappo’s. All members & friends of the St. Paul’s are encouraged to participate in this event sponsored by the Social Ministry Team.
