Music

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church has a vibrant music program with numerous opportunities for people to share their musical gifts. Desire and commitment are more important than talent!

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir is open to high school students and adults.

The Adult Choir sings sacred classical music spanning many centuries. Our focus is traditional Lutheran worship. There are 22 volunteers and 6 professional section leaders currently singing in the choir. The Adult Choir leads music during the 11:00am worship service weekly, as well as special liturgies.

They rehearse on Thursdays beginning at 7:30pm. Contact Music Director Aline Otten at aotten@stpaulslutherandc.com to become involved.

Children’s Choir

The Children’s Choir is open to all children in first through sixth grade.

Our goal is to provide a solid musical foundation to help children enjoy music. Children will contribute to worship for specific Sundays. The focus of rehearsals is singing through the use of music games and Orff instruments.

They rehearse on Sundays immediately following the 11:00am worship service. Contact Music Director Aline Otten at aotten@stpaulslutherandc.com to become involved.

Bell Choir

Now in its 11th year, the St. Paul’s Bell Choir meets every Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. in the North Transept of the Sanctuary for rehearsal and plays during the 11 a.m. service once a month from September through June.

This three-octave ensemble plays traditional hymns, classical composers, American spirituals and new sacred music from a variety of composers and arrangers.

Bell Choir members are young and old and bring a range of musical experience to their performances. We always welcome new members to join us. No experience is necessary to join.

Please call Bell Choir director Lexy Mueller to learn more about this exciting ministry.

Two or more additional ringers are currently needed. The bell choir plays at occasional worship services throughout the year.
