A Weekly program designed for Seniors
The Prime Time Center gathers every Wednesday between 11:00 am - 2:00 pm for fun and fellowship. St. Paul's Center continues to be blessed with a faithful ministry team who welcome the participants, spend time with them in conversation, and serves a wonderful hot luncheon to everyone. We welcome you to come and see this vibrant community and participate in any program that seems interesting to you.
The programming begins with an hour long session of seated exercise from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm followed by a delicious hot lunch from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. Immediately after lunch the group enjoys some kind of entertainment, lecture, or information session.
The theme will be how non-percussive instruments are used in playing tango through the use of extended techniques called "yeites." Tango (as far as I'm aware) is the only social dance whose music does not use percussive instruments. Instead, the bass (in our case the cello), piano, and the left hand of the bandoneon takes the role of the rhythm section.
The two instrumentalists will be Maxfield Wollam-Fisher on the cello and Heyni Solera on the bandoneon.
