St. Paul’s Blessing of the Animals Service

Sunday, October 2nd at 3:00 pm (Rain or shine!)

 at St. Paul’s

St. Francis of Assisi inspired others to follow his example of living a simple life and his ways became the foundation of the Franciscan Order of the Catholic Church.

Francis believed in bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to all of God’s creation, which included animals and birds.  In honor of St. Francis’ love of animals, St. Pauls’ Lutheran Church will have a Blessing of the Animals Service on Sunday, October 2nd at 3:00 pm. In case of rain, we will move into the portico.

Please join us in the outside at St. Paul’s, and bring your furry, scaly, or feathered friends with you!  We will celebrate the life of St. Francis, and each pet will receive a blessing.  Owners are asked to bring their pets on a leash or in a carrier for easier control.   Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal for a blessing, too!
